# Manage files, folders and storage

Upload project images, organize folders, find files, and manage images used by templates.

**Assets** stores images used by the project’s templates. Organize logos, backgrounds, and illustrations into folders, then select them from the editor when needed.

Files belong to the current project. Open the intended project before uploading so its templates can find the images in their Asset picker.

## 1. Organize images in folders

Open **Assets**, select **New folder**, and give it a name such as `Brand` or `Backgrounds`. The app opens the new folder, ready for files.

Use the breadcrumb above the list to return to a parent folder or the root. Folders organize files within the project; they do not create separate access permissions.

## 2. Upload and review the files

In the destination folder, select **Upload** to choose images, or drop files into Assets.

The app opens **Review upload** before uploading. Check the paths and sizes of the files being added. A message identifies files excluded because their types are unsupported.

Accepted extensions are **PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, and AVIF**. Confirm the upload, then follow the completed-file count.

## 3. Find and preview saved images

Search filters files in the current folder. Switch between **Grid** and **List** to see thumbnails or a file list, and select a file to open its preview.

To use a file in a template, open the editor and choose it through an **Asset** field. This stores a reference to the project file. See [Using images in templates](/docs/assets/images/) for HTML and backgrounds.

The card’s copy-URL action uses the current image-viewing URL. Use the Asset picker when assigning an image to a template prop.

Search the current folder, switch Grid/List, and open an image to preview

## 4. Remove files and check storage status

Delete a file from its card, or select several files and choose **Delete**. Review the file name in the confirmation before proceeding. Folders also have their own delete action.

Deleting an image referenced by a prop can leave future PDFs unable to load it. To replace an image, choose the replacement in the relevant templates before deleting the old file.

If Upload is locked or workspace storage is full, read the storage notice in Assets. Available next steps depend on the workspace’s current status; [Plan limits](/docs/plans/limits/) explains storage and resource access.
